Sammen med vår lokale guide vandrer du i storslått natur i villreinens rike. Du får se en arkeologisk utgraving av et gammelt fangstanlegg. Vi følger sporene tilbake til forfedrene våre, som gir deg et innblikk i villreinens betydning for bygda.

Du blir fraktet med buss fra Lesja bygdemuseum i Lesja sentrum til Verket ved Slådalsvegen. Her blir det en vandring i lett terreng, mens du får historien om fangstanlegget, om villreinen og jakt og fangst på urdyret.

Etter vandringen blir det buss tillbake og omvisning på villreinutstillinga på Lesja bygdamuseum. Her blir det også servert en smakfull lunsj fra Avdemsbue med lokale råvarer.

Join us on a historical half-day trip to Reinheimen National Park.

Our local guide will walk you through magnificent scenery in the kingdom of the wild reindeer. Visitors get to see an archaeological excavation of an ancient trapping site. We follow the traces back to our ancestors, which provide an insight into the importance of wild reindeer for the village.

You will be transported by bus from Lesja Open Air Museum in Lesja city center to Verket along Slådalsvegen road. Visitors will go on a walk over easy terrain while learning about the history of the tapping site, about wild reindeer and how they were hunted and trapped.

After the walk, a bus will take you back to the wild reindeer exhibition at Lesja Open Air Museum. A tasty lunch made with local ingredients from Avdemsbue will also served here.

Lengde på turen: Ca 1,5 timers vandring ved Verket. Retur til Lesja bygdemuseum for omvisning og lunsj kl. 11.30.

Passer for: De aller fleste, vi holder et rolig tempo. Barn fra ca 6 år og opp. 

Utstyr: Vannflaske. Klær; gjerne flere lag, vindtett yttertøy. Vanntette fjellsko, lue og votter. 

Niste: Lunsj på Lesja bygdamuseum er inkludert.

Length of hike: around 1,5 hours wandering around the work. Return to Lesja bygdemuseum for tour and lunch at 11.30.

Suited for: Most people, we keep a low tempo. Children from 6 and up.

Needed for trip: water bottle. Clothes; preferably more layers, windproof outdoor clothing. Waterproof hiking shoes, gloves, and hat.

Packed food: Lunch afterwards at Lesja bygdemuseum is included.
